Chewy & Crunchy Granola Bar Recipe


Are you a lover of snacks?! Granola bars are one of my favs - they're tasty, filling, and they contain healthy fats and are a great source of protein!

I've been snacking on these granola bars for the past couple of years and have tweaked the recipe to perfection just for you! It's the perfect combination of sweet, salty, chewy and crunchy!


Granola Bar Recipe:

1/4 cup tahini paste (sesame paste)

1/2 cup honey

2 tbsp of margarine or butter, melted

1 1/2 cup of oats

1/2 cup all natural peanut butter

1/2 cup almond butter

Filling:

You can add as little or as many nuts and dried fruit/berries as you like! I use:

2 tbsp chia seeds

1 handful of dried cranberries

1 handful of raw unsalted almonds, chopped

1 handful of raw unsalted cashews, chopped

1 handful of raw pumpkin and sunflower seeds

1/4 cup chocolate chips

5 pitless dates, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Preheat over to 350 degrees fehrenheit

  2. Chop the almonds and cashews

  3. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl

  4. Bake in an 8" by 8" non stick pan

  5. Bake at 350 F for 12 minutes and then on high broil for 1.5 minutes (don't let the top burn!)

  6. Let bars cool completely before cutting them in whatever shape you desire ​and enjoy!
